Westmount Charter School provides qualitatively differentiated educational programming for students who are gifted. Each gifted learner is provided with opportunities to optimize his or her own unique potential. Students in the Westmount Music Program attend rehearsals, masterclasses, camps and obtain mentorship from professional musicians.
Westmount offers music instruction in the following levels and categories: Grade 5 Beginner Concert Band (Level 0.5-1.0) Grade 6 Junior Concert Band (Level 1-2) Grade 7 & 8 Intermediate Concert Band (Level 2-2.5) Grades 8 & 9 Senior Concert Band (Level 2.5-4) Grades 10, 11 & 12 Symphonic Band, Instrumental Music 10/20/30 (Level 3-5) Grades 10, 11 & 12 Senior Jazz Band, Instrumental Jazz 15/25/35 (Level 2-3) |
